A routine will help you get the most out of your day.

Many people think that since they are working from home, they can take a more relaxed approach to their workday. This statement could not be any more inaccurate! It is essential to set a routine for yourself and stick to it in order to make sure you're getting things done. Wake up at a decent time, brush your teeth, have breakfast, and then start working. By setting a routine, you can use your time more efficiently and get things done quickly. If you don't have set hours for work, your mind will keep putting it off. As a result, you'll accomplish much less than if you had planned to work during specific times of day.Sticking to a routine allows you to focus your thoughts and optimize your time.

Get dressed for the day

Productivity requires more than just will power - you need to get dressed too. It may seem like working in your pajamas would be easier, but it's not. Have a Specific Workplace

"Study Rooms" are prevalent in the homes of freelancers or remote workers for a reason: getting into a designated "working space" helps you get work done. Just like it's harder to focus when working from home compared to an office, it will be more challenging to concentrate while working in bed as opposed to a study or dedicated work area. Just set up a small workstation in one corner of your house (preferably not too close to where you sleep), with all the materials and tools you need, then sit down and get to work. Having a dedicated space will help improve your focus and attention, and it will signal to your brain that it's time to get things done.

Additionally, it is much easier to focus on work when sitting up as opposed to lying down. While working from a sofa isn't the most recommended option, it's still better than working in bed. This is because our minds tend to associate different activities with certain spaces. For example, we usually sleep in beds so if we try and work there instead, our brains will think that it's time for bed! However, you can train your brain over time to recognize your study table as a place for working instead of sleeping. Consequently, doing homework or other tasks will become much simpler and require less effort overall.

Get up early in the morning

If you can believe it, but waking up earlier than usual is the best way to increase your productivity. Your mind is at its peak freshest in the morning, making it easier to work then than any other time of day. Get up early, drink something hot and have breakfast, and start working. Even if you feel sleepy, a few minutes of work will probably wake you up and leave feeling productive for the rest of day.

Make Some Time To Unwind

Although it may seem beneficial to work all the time, it's not healthy or possible to do so. If you have a flexible schedule, use some of that freedom to relax and take breaks. Disconnect from work by muting WhatsApp, turning off your work table, and watching a movie or YouTube videos. It's essential to take some time for yourself every day to unwind and relax. You can even add physical activity to this routine to help sweat out the stress, which has been shown to improve focus and productivity for many people. If you don't take some time for yourself, you will eventually become burnt out from working all the time.
