Have you ever come across a gaming mouse online that was being offered at an incredibly marked up price and thought to yourself, "Why would I buy that when I could get one for $5?". Well, having a great gaming mouse can vastly improve your overall PC experience. Plus, with all of the amazing Cyber Monday and Black Friday sales going on right now, there's no better time to invest in a good quality mouse and save some money while you're at it.
The gaming mouse market has undergone some incredible changes in the last year. In addition to weight reduction, we're seeing a return to classic design with some modernized internals and seriously impressive tempered glass skates. Wireless mice now have such long-lasting battery life that you'll be amazed at how long they'll go without needing a charge.
Today, I'm going to share my recommendations for the best gaming mice on the market so you can take your gaming experience to the next level.
Razer DeathAdder V2
The Razer DeathAdder V2 uses the powerful Focus optical sensor which gives it a DPI, or 'dots per inch,' of 20,000. This can be easily adjusted using Razer's custom software. In layman's terms: the higher the mouse's DPI, generally speaking, the better quality it is.
Razer's latest technology includes flawless tracking to help with things like gaming and shooting moving targets. The mouse is wired, has 6 buttons, a USB interface for right-handed people, and weighs 82g. It typically retails for $69.99 but can often be found on sale for a lower price.
Razer Orochi V2
Next on the list, we have the Razer Orochi V2. It is a wireless mouse that is perfectly sized and nicely balanced by an ergonomic interior design. The battery compartment is angled for easy use, and you can choose between AAA or AA batteries for weight customization.
If you're using it in Bluetooth mode, the USB dongle on this lightweight mouse with a comfy shape hides away inside the body. The scroll wheel is smoother and there's a DPI setting of 18,000, along with 6 programmable buttons--all for less than 60g. It usually retails at $69.99 but you'll likely get it cheaper during Cyber Monday sales
Logitech G502 Lightspeed
Logitech has just introduced their newest addition to the G502 family, Lightspeed. This new wireless mouse comes at a premium price, but if you are willing to pay for it you'll get some great features like additional weights (up to six), which gives you the ability to adjust the weight profile according to your preference. The ergonomic design of this mouse is suitable for all sorts of grips and pretty similar in design to Logitech's Hero sensor giving us access to 16,000 DPI.
The Logitech Powerplay wireless mouse pad lets you charge your mouse without a dongle, and it's available on Amazon for $120. With all these premium features, this mouse usually costs quite a bit; however, there are often sales going on that offer a better price.
Corsair Dark Core RGB Pro Wireless
It's not often that you come across a good wireless gaming mouse; they're pretty difficult to find. Nobody likes it when their pointer is lagging behind their mouse movement, and sometimes it even gets on my nerves during an intense gaming session. Corsair has done everyone well with the Dark Core RGB Pro wireless mouse, which has a 1 microsecond response time - extraordinarily low for a wireless mouse. You can also customize the RGB light to your liking with the potent software that comes with it. The only drawback to this mouse is that it favors gamers with a palm grip over those with a claw grip. If you're not familiar, the main difference between these two grips is that in a palm grip, your entire hand rests on the mouse, whereas in a claw grip, your hand rests on the mouse but your fingers are curled up giving you more of a claws-like hold. With that said though, if you are indeed a palm-grip gamer then you will love this mouse and how nice it fits into your grasp.
So there you have it! Make sure to use the best gaming mouse for your next session so can come out victorious!
